Kamea Linux Agent Service (KLAS) is a software solution created by The Embedded Kit, designed to optimize the management of connected device fleets by seamlessly integrating into the Kamea ecosystem.
Operating in the background, KLAS acts as a bridge between the device and the Kamea platform, ensuring smooth and efficient communication.

Compatible with Linux, KLAS is provided as a source code and is integrated in a Yocto meta-layer. It is also available as a .deb package for Debian based distributions. This flexibility enables streamlined integration across diverse environments.

Key Features

KLAS offers a range of user-transparent actions, including:

  • Sending device telemetry for real-time monitoring.
  • Handling bidirectional configuration management (desired and reported)
  • Managing Kamea remote commands
  • Over-The-Air (OTA) updates to securely and efficiently keep devices up-to-date

KLAS features an advanced configuration system that allows:

  • Selection of Linux system KPI
  • Specification of data retrieval intervals based on specific needs

Additionally, a DBUS API is available to extend functionalities and adapt them to the business context of your device.
